TWO PARTS HOUSE

“Swedish Design Sensibilities and Coastal Australian Living Combine in Two Parts House”

Philip Annetta, Design Anthology

Centred around its requirement and flexibility to host visiting families or friends, the concept for this permanent family home in the coastal precinct of Beleura Hill, Mornington Penisula is conceived as a two-parts house interconnected by a glazed pavillion.

Each part is represented by a skillion volume. The main part which caters for the everyday family needs whilst the other caters for retreat or visiting guest. The entry pavillion overlooks the park across the road on one side and a wedge-shaped courtyard.

Two Parts House is a coastal home that, despite its lack of water view, finds delight in the spaces it carves, the refinement in the details, and deep connection to its context.
